Structure and Characteristics of Fully Welded Ball Valve

2024年08月10日

The structure and characteristics of fully welded ball valves are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

Structural characteristics

Fully welded structure:

The ball, valve body, and valve cover of the valve are all fully welded, which makes the connection tight, without external leakage, and improves the sealing performance of the valve.

Valve seat design:

The valve seat is usually composed of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) sealing rings and springs, which have strong adaptability to changes in pressure and temperature and can maintain a leak free state within the range of use.

Valve stem anti leakage structure:

The bottom of the valve stem is equipped with one PTFE self sealing gasket and one O-ring seal, while the upper part is equipped with two O-ring seals and two PTFE gaskets. This multiple sealing structure ensures the leak free performance of the valve stem.

Materials and adaptability:

The valve body material is the same as the pipeline material, which not only avoids the problem of uneven stress, but also makes the valve less prone to deformation under external factors such as earthquakes and vehicle passage. Meanwhile, the valve body is usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel or alloy steel, which enhances the corrosion resistance of the valve.

Lightweight and Insulated:

The valve body of a fully welded ball valve is relatively light and easy to insulate. Especially for direct buried ball valves, they can be directly buried underground without the need to build tall valve wells, greatly saving construction costs and project time.

Adjustable and processing accuracy:

Valves can adjust the length of the valve body and the height of the valve stem according to the construction and design requirements of the pipeline. At the same time, the machining accuracy of the sphere is very high, making it easy to operate and without any adverse interference.

Connection and transmission mode:

Fully welded ball valves offer two connection methods for users to choose from: welding and flange. The transmission mode includes various structures such as handle, turbine, pneumatic, electric, etc., and the switch is flexible and lightweight.

Feature Summary

High sealing performance: The fully welded structure and multiple sealing design ensure the leak free performance of the valve.

Strong corrosion resistance: Made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel or alloy steel.

Strong adaptability: Strong adaptability to changes in pressure and temperature, suitable for various working environments.

Lightweight and easy to insulate: The valve body is lightweight and easy to insulate, especially for the application of directly buried ball valves, which is more convenient.

Flexible and adjustable: The valve body length and stem height can be adjusted according to actual needs to meet diverse construction requirements.

Easy to operate: High precision ball processing, lightweight and flexible operation, diverse transmission modes, and flexible and lightweight switches.

In summary, fully welded ball valves have been widely used in the fields of natural gas, petroleum, heating, chemical, and thermal power pipelines and other long-distance pipelines due to their unique structure and excellent characteristics.
